XX, cuando fueron sustituidas por las calculadoras electr\u00f3nicas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">La regla de c\u00e1lculo<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Pare empezar, vemos c\u00f3mo es la regla de c\u00e1lculo como objeto f\u00edsico: tiene el cuerpo principal (la regla en s\u00ed), una reglilla deslizante y un cursor transparente de apoyo y marcaje, deslizante tambi\u00e9n. La reglilla tiene dos caras, una para operaciones algebraicas y la otra para operaciones trigonom\u00e9tricas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped m\u00e1s de dos decimales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unas operaciones sencillas: con la reglilla alineada con el cuerpo principal, ponemos el cursor en el 2 de las escalas C y D (x&nbsp;=&nbsp;2), vemos empieza la curva, unas marcas. Esto tiene una ventajas e inconvenientes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El primer inconveniente es que una escala logar\u00edtmica no tiene 0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En la regla vemos el segmento que va de 1 a 10, a su derecha ir\u00eda el que va de 10 a 100, a la derecha de \u00e9ste el de 100 a 1.000\u2026; a la izquierda del 1 ir\u00eda el segmento que va de 0,1 a 1, a la izquierda de \u00e9ste el que va de 0,01 a 0,1\u2026 pero no hay 0, por eso no podemos obtener senos o tangentes de \u00e1ngulos muy pr\u00f3ximos a 0\u00ba. Hay una escala, la escala ST, para \u00e1ngulos de hasta unos 40&#8242; (a esa escala, el valor del seno y de la tangente, para la precisi\u00f3n de la regla de c\u00e1lculo, coinciden).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El segundo inconveniente es que tampoco podemos obtener tangentes mayores que 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El valor tan x = 1 ,corresponde a \u00e1ngulos de x = 45\u00ba. Para \u00e1ngulos mayores tenemos que operar:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>tan&nbsp;x&nbsp;=&nbsp;1&nbsp;\/&nbsp;tan&nbsp;(90&nbsp;&#8211;&nbsp;x)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Pero tambi\u00e9n hay ventajas: que senos y tangentes est\u00e9n expresados en la escala logar\u00edtmica de la regla permite que podemos operar con ellos. Pongo el 1 de la escala C sobre el 1,44 de la escala D y desplaz\u00e1ndome por la escala C obtengo en la D la masa de un volumen dado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img
